Reviews
This item is discontinued.
Description
The Straw Cup’s almond-shaped, spill-proof straw conforms to tot’s mouth and minimizes mess, easing the transition from bottle, breast feeding, or sippy cup. The straw valve opens as soon as tot’s lips touch spout for easy drinking, and the hinged cap closes to create a leakproof seal. The removable handles provide a comfortable grip for your little one, and the cap and straw are removable for easy, thorough cleaning.

Very sturdy!
July 23, 2019
I ordered this for my nephew (he is 7 months) and it is safe to say the cup is indestructible. He tends to throw almost anything you give him but this transition cup is amazing. The grips are also very comfortable for holding and not to mention it's cute design.

Useful and much needed.

I'm a die hard oxo fan. I bought this for my son who is transitioning from bottle to cups. He loves it. And it's well made. I would hand wash it because of the straws and my son always has sticky hands. He's thrown it and dropped it and it still looks good. I'll definitely be buying more.

The perfect sippy cup with a straw!
July 21, 2019
This little cup was a lifesaver. Mom and Dad always use their big cups with straws, and our little guy was determined to always drink out of ours. Now that he was his own cup with a straw, problem solved!

No leaks, easy to cover the straw as well, so it's really easy to transport. The handles are a must as well, he loves to just carry it around the house with him. Only thing to not is it took our little guy a bit to get used to not being able tip the cup back (the straw stays in one spot, so he wouldn't get any out), but all in all we love this cup!

Love the straw!
July 21, 2019
I love the colors and size of this cup, and the fact that the handles are removable. it makes it versatile to use across different skill levels. My favorite part though is the angled straw, so that my son isn't struggling to place the cup and the right angle to drink from it.

Better then most.
July 21, 2019
I received this a month ago and wanted to test the spillage as this is usually the largest annoyance with cups. I'll say they do still occur but it seems less frequent then other popular brands. I would recommend trying it.

Great cup for small hands
July 20, 2019
This will be a perfect cup to grow into. I loved that there are ounces marked on the side. I learned that it's a durable cup as my buddy tends to drop a lot. :) The handles held up to greasy hands. I found it very easy to clean as well. I would recommend this cup those babies ready to transition to a straw.

Wanna drink?
July 17, 2019
I got this cup because my friends have small kids and I wanted to have something when they came over for them to drink out of because I have drinking glasses that break easily.

This cup is a nice size. The kids really liked the size of the cup. Parents liked it because they say it is just the right amount. It was easy to clean up. All the parts come apart.

Best toddler cup!
July 15, 2019
Of all the sippy cups we have tried, this has been our favorite. Everything gets clean and goes back together easily. It's easy for my kids to use and they love to drink out of it.

Nice smaller straw cup
July 9, 2019
We bought this to have at our house for our grandson. But I happen to be a PT working with infants and toddlers with delays and disabilities. Many of the sippy and straw cups in the stores recently are large and wide for little hands-many have no handles. I love this small cup with handles for kiddos who have trouble lifting or holding other brands. As they do better they can transition away from the handles.
I have recommended this cup to several of my families already

Great sippy cup
July 9, 2019
We got this to use with our 5 month old. Both of our other children had better luck with straw cups and so far this time around is no different. The cup is sturdy, holds up to being tossed around, and holds more than enough liquid for a child. It doesn't leak like many of the others that we have tried over the years. Highly recommend!

Sippy Cup with handles
July 8, 2019
This cup is great once your child figures out how to bite the straw to get the liquid. Once my daughter figured that out, she was able to use the cup nicely. It is a good size with helpful handles, it is also easy to take apart for cleaning."

Leak resistant, perfect size, and great handles!
July 7, 2019
It was love at first sight the moment we opened this bottle, my daughter wouldn't put it down! We have tried many straw bottles, and the Transitions Straw Bottle is by far superior. There are a few design details that make it so - such as the notches that prevent the handles from spinning - which was very annoying on other bottles. Under the handles there is a rubber grip on the bottle, which I assume is for when your little one transitions to a bottle without handles. It comes with a bite-style silicone straw (which is key to it being leak resistant) but it is very different than a camelback style bite straw! This straw allows liquid through when it's squeezed between your tongue and the roof of your mouth - an action which every toddler is familiar with from nursing and baby bottles. My daughter picked it up right away! This silicone mouthpiece is attached to a rigid straw, positioned at a slight angle, which allows all the water/liquid to be consumed when held. There is also a lid which, when closed, locks the silicone straw down to prevent leaking. The bottle has a wide base which makes it easy for toddlers to set down and not knock over. A couple small suggestions for the Oxo Team - please include a straw cleaning brush! Also, when dropped, the lid usually pops off. While this isn't a deal breaker (and being able to remove the lid for cleaning is necessary) it's a small annoyance to have to reassemble it each time. Also, can a matte/painted space be added for writing a child's name? These are minor improvements that would make an already superior bottle even better! Overall we LOVE this bottle, I'd HIGHLY recommend it, and have already purchased a second! I literally threw our old straw bottles (from other brands) in the trash after using this one. It's the best!

Decent sippy cup
July 5, 2019
I am picky about sippy cups and haven't found many I'm satisfied with this time around. Good points about this one- like the closing lid, not too difficult to take apart, can put all the parts in the dishwasher, my son likes it. Bad points: kind of hard to screw back together, wouldn't trust it not to leak in a bag, pretty small so he wants frequent refills.

Sturdy sippy cup
July 3, 2019
Received this sippy cup complimentary to try out for review and I'm very happy with it! It's very sturdy and holds up well with our little one constantly throwing it about. It does not easily leak and she's able to drink pretty well from it (she's 8 months old). The handles are trainers and can be removed if you do not want them.

Great components to this cup!
July 2, 2019
Excellent transition cup. One of the only ones I have seen that has the ounces labeled on the cup. This is perfect when you want to see how much your toddler is drinking as they transition from the bottle.

Hard to use
July 2, 2019
I got this cup a couple weeks ago. I tried using it twice. My son who is almost 2 couldn't get anything up through the straw. I waited and tried a second time because he had just had dental work done and I thought maybe that was the issue. It's very hard to suck any liquid through the valve in the straw. I had trouble getting any out when I tried as well. I like the cup, but the straw needs a revamp.

The best sippy cup!
July 2, 2019
I can't say enough good things about this cup! From the color, to the durability, to the easiness of cleaning it- it's fantastic! My baby girl seriously squeals when she sees it. The handles makes it so easy for her to carry around. Another positive is the wide opening at the top makes it easy to put ice in it as well. 5 stars, nothing bad to say!

New Favorite Cup
July 2, 2019
This cup has quickly become the favorite cup of my twins. They have taken it to bed and it hasn't leaked at all. It comes apart for easy cleaning, you can imagine that 3 year old twin boys are not the cleanest. Overall a great cup that my boys love.

She took right to it.
July 1, 2019
My goddaughter normally uses a sippy cup with the normal spout so I was unsure how she'd do with the straw. She immediately figured it out and I think she even had an easier time with the straw. It's also pretty leak proof because she threw that thing everywhere and it never leaked. Overall I'm very happy with this product

Perfect little cup
June 28, 2019
This is the perfect little cup - it's super easy to use, very easy to clean, and little ones seem to be able to use it pretty easily. I gave this to a good friend for her little one and they seem to love it. It's also really cool that you can buy different lids for it as they get older. This version has the straw so it's already for a slightly older child, but the bottle top would be perfect for a little-little one before they're ready for the straw. And that way you just have to buy a new lid instead of an entire new bottle. Great design as usual by OXO.

Excellent for toddlers
June 27, 2019
My grandson is really enjoying this cup. It took his just a couple of times to work the straw, but he really enjoys being able to use this cup on the go in the stroller or when travelling in the car. The lid closes so nicely over the straw to prevent spills. The cup is well made and the handles are just perfect for a toddler. This is a really nice cup as it also has markings on the side to regulate ounces of intake.

Cute design, not as easy to clean as the OXO Tot Transitions Soft Spout Sippy Cup
August 23, 2017
I thought this cup would be a nice compliment to the OXO Tot Transitions Soft Spout Sippy Cup that I previously purchased, but I have to say I prefer it over this one. The straw is a little tougher to clean and overall I think the soft spout option is a better one for transitioning from bottle to cup.
Pros
  • Great size
  • Love the hiding straw feature
Cons
  • Difficult to clean
  • Not as easy for little one to transition from bottle to cup
