Great smooth stroller
July 2, 2018
We bought this to use with the Mesa. Stroller is easy to transfer meas from car seat base to stroller. Easy to pack up and use. Only minor complaint is you have to set down stroller to open. It can sometimes be difficult in the hot AZ to set it down for the tab you have to pull to align.
Pros
  • Easy to use. smooth to push.
Best Uses
  • I would use for any longer stroller walks or in combination with Mesa.
Cons
  • tab to open does not align unless sitting on ground.

GREAT frame and stroller for the Mesa
December 12, 2017
I ordered this b/c I got the Mesa Carseat by UppaBaby. I could not find another frame stroller for the carseat so I bit the "pricey" cost of the Cruz ... but do NOT regret it. Great purchase. The frame is all i have used thus far as my baby is only a week old. IT is lightweight, usable after a csection!, and very easy to open and close. PERFECT. I can't wait till my daughter is older and use the cool seat that comes with it. I know it will be equally as perfect and will be just as pleased as I am now. UB is a great company, great quality. Love my purchase.
Best Uses
  • As a frame stroller with Mesa Carseat.

Perfect for us
September 27, 2017
Wish we hadn't waited so long to upgrade to this! Kept our almost 7 month old in his car seat + snap & go stroller until he really started hating it. Did a ton of research and finally settled on the Uppababy Cruz. It rides smoothly, has tons of storage space in the bottom, and is comfy for baby with lots of adjustability on the recline + fwd or rear facing. Also is super easy to collapse and is light enough that I (mom) can handle it. Will be using this a TON and for a long time to come. Just wish it came with a cup holder/parent caddy but that's just an additional $30 for a generic one via Amazon, not a huge deal.
Pros
  • Light weight, collapsible, both forward and rear facing, tons of storage
Cons
  • No cup holder or storage on handlebar

Great for the city
September 9, 2017
This stroller is amazing to have, especially if you spend long days out on foot. My daughter can fully sit up and play, lay down and sleep for hours, and face me or the world by just clicking the chair in and out! It is so easy to use and has every feature I could possibly think of! One of the main reasons I chose this stroller is because of the sun shade that covers my entire 11 month olds body during the really sunny days when we have to be out. Overall, this is such a well built stroller and is worth every penny.

BETTER THAN EXPECTED!
August 11, 2017
I absolutely LOVE this stroller! You are definitely getting quality. The frame is sturdy and the multiple positions for the seat are awesome. My 5 month old can sleep comfortably at the fully reclined position. The shopping basket is huge and fits my diaper bag, my medela pump bag and my LO blanket with some room left over. My husband loves the adjustable handle as he is taller than I am(he's 6'1). The ride is smooth and it feels like the stroller glides. The only thing I would say is negative is that in order to close the stroller the handle has to be adjusted at it's highest level and if your baby was facing you, you have change the seat back to "facing the world" position. And it can be a little heavy. BUT still worth it!

Initial Thoughts, Amazing!
August 10, 2017
So, full disclosure, I haven't put a kid in this yet. I'm a second time mom who's previously only used less expensive strollers (like a Graco). I really wanted a seat that goes front or back, and I loved the option of a full bassinet (separate purchase). I couldn't handle the extra weight of the Vista, so the Cruz seemed great.I went to the stores and tried to fold and maneuver other strollers. The Chicco's were okay, but the work getting the Urbino to do all it's seat configurations was difficult. I was amazed at how simple the Cruz was for these. I love the really big sunshade. The folding is perhaps a little fast for me, but I found that on the Bravo stroller as well. They almost seem spring loaded! Like all strollers, there is a learning curve. It rolls so nicely, the steering is quite responsive. I need an adapter for the carseat I purchased, but I'm okay with that. Overall, I'm quite happy. I'll try to update this after the little one comes, as that will give a much better impression
Pros
  • Easy to use, folding, switching the seat direction, etc. Lighter than many of the other comparable strollers on the market.
Cons
  • The folding is easy, but it's a bit fast. I definitely couldn't fold it with a baby in my arms. I don't see this being a huge issue.

Still a darn good stroller
July 15, 2017
I initially got a 2013/14 VISTA, which is the upper model, but had to sell it. Knowing how awesome and helpful the VISTA had been, remembering how I could have a baby on my hip/cup of coffee in hand and another baby in the stroller while opening a door and easily maneuvering into the entrance while everyone sat and stared (with only one hand on the bar, because the stroller lends itself to tricks), prompted me to get another UPPAbaby. I knew it would be smaller, I knew it wouldn't come with a bassinet, but I was expecting the same great basic features (durable wheels; excellent turning radius and maneuverability; stability; higher seat; big basket). For the most part, I got all of that. Keep in mind that right before the CRUZ, having sold the car when I sold the VISTA, my prime mode of getting baby around, sometimes for 2-10 miles at a time, became either the carrier or a $20 stroller which had no business pushing that much pavement, with its wheels that broke apart and its foot bar/band which tore and its seat that developed a hole, and which wouldn't even "go" in the grocery store or on any sort of smooth surface. Coming from that, the CRUZ was about 200 steps up. Just excellent by anyone's standards. So, if you're huffing it by foot, if you're going to be going up and down curbs, or maybe the terrain is going to be uneven or unpredictable, both the CRUZ and VISTA are for you. But the CRUZ does have fewer features, and while the basics that make this stroller better than pretty much every other stroller on the market -- especially if you need a stroller for walking a lot, in myriad places, on varied terrains -- are intact, the quality just isn't as great as on the VISTA, whether because this is a lower end model, or because it's a different year. Also, pertaining to the CRUZ I got in the mail, there were a few issues that just weren't with the VISTA (that stroller was PERFECT): the "UPPAbaby" logo design on the basket of the CRUZ didn't print properly and was half missing; the stroller favors one direction when I'm trying to go straight on level ground and I have to exert some force to correct for it (like the bad shopping cart phenomenon); some of the fabric on the stroller is mismatched (the black on the handlebar does not match the black on the rest of the seat; the handlebar grip has weird indents toward the end, maybe where they were wrapped and the cushy part of compressed. Contacted UPPAbaby, and they were helpful enough, but then when I tried to send them pictures of the defects upon request, I didn't hear back from them. In closing, I miss my VISTA, but this stroller is still good, and better than others on the market -- and certainly better than the $20 stroller that fell apart -- even though it might be a lemon.
Pros
  • One-hand maneuverability; durable wheels; higher seat; big basket; folds down easily
Best Uses
  • Street walking, and whatever that throws at this stroller
Cons
  • quality control issues; fewer features than the VISTA

Great Stroller
July 12, 2017
We purchased the 2016 Uppababy Cruz stroller for our baby. What sold me was the lightweight, slim frame but yet very trendy style. I love the options of turning the seat around, laying it back in 4 different positions or being able to remove the seat and simply click in our Uppababy Mesa car seat. We chose the 2016 over the 2017 simply because it was on sale, I did not see a huge difference in the two strollers other than the price difference.Overall I highly recommend this stroller, it is worth every penny and we plan on getting many years out of this stroller!Albee baby was extremely easy to order with and shipping was incredibly fast! Thanks, Albee!

Love this stroller!!!
June 14, 2017
This stroller is great. I have the Vista and love it even more bc it glides~ even on cobblestone. I'm not sure about this stroller on rough roads because I advent had a chance to use it that much but I love that Uppababy's strollers are so easy to use. It is easy to use the brakes, harness, and folding and storing it is also a breeze. I noticed the the Cruz is much lighter than the Vista. If you want a single stroller that is easy to use and carry around I think this is the perfect stroller for you. If you are thinking about having a second baby to stroll around together with the first, you should def get the Vista.

June 9, 2017
This stroller is great, rolls easily, is compatible with our chico key fit car seat and I love the bassinet option! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that the stroller is a bit heavy and is not easy to unfold and you need 2 hands to undo the latch and then open. The stroller we currently have is light weight and can be easily folded and unfolded with one hand but we got this one because of the bassinet option.
Pros
  • Bassinet, seat and chico key fit compatible
Best Uses
  • Everyday!
Cons
  • Not easy to fold/unfold

Love This Stroller!
March 22, 2017
I finally caved and bought this as a replacement for our Chicco Liteway Plus (which is sadly neither light nor a plus). It was super easy to assemble out of the box. I was able to put it together without the instruction booklet, as it was super intuitive. Steering this is a dream, even one handed! I bought the adapter for our chicco keyfit car seat, and it snapped in easily abc even folds down with the adapter!I did a five minute demo for my husband of folding, unfolding, adjusting the seat to face forward and back, and then put the car seat in. He was impressed. He's also happy there are telescoping handles. It was three times the price of our old stroller and worth every penny.

We were really happy with the product, it was mostly assembled when it arrived and we received it within a week with free shipping. The stroller was sturdy, smooth, and a great deal! We're really pleased with the way it folds I am petite and only 5'1 so it was important that it would be easily for me to use it alone too. We compared the Vista and Cruz but ultimately decided the Cruz was more suitable for our needs. It's lighter, works with the Mesa car seat, and we didn't need the bassinet. I can't wait to use this with my baby!

Love the price and the stroller. It's the ideal modular stroller for us. We are using this UPPAbaby cruz with the maxi cosi ap mico car seat. Sensible, Functional Stroller
November 29, 2016
We love our UPPAbaby Cruz, and love the UPPAbaby customer service even more. I can count on a high quality product that will last for years to come. This is especially important given the relatively high price tag!The color, Maya, is a marigold yellow as described, and is vibrant without being blindingly bright. I love that I'm usually able to spot my stroller among a sea of black strollers when out in public. Size wise, it takes up half of my Honda Accord trunk. The reason I knocked 1 star off is because putting away the stroller can be quite a task, even with its easy collapse function. The fact that I cannot put the stroller away with one hand was a setback for my living situation. It may not be a big deal for everyone, but considering that I often am out and about with baby on my own makes it that much more difficult.

So far, so good... but baby isn't here yet
January 18, 2016
We initally looked at this stroller because it seems that everyone we know has one... but that's not why we got it. We got it because I did my research and it really is one of the best! Well-made, love the options, and it was a good compromise for us (over the Vista) because we're pretty certain we won't be having kids less than 2-2.5 years apart, so the double stroller feature seemed overkill. Love that big basket too! And we'll be getting the Mesa carseat, which is really fabulous when paired with this stoller. So excited!

Awesome full-size stroller
December 14, 2015
The stroller has a very stylish design. It is very easy to set up and use. It can be collapsed into a relatively small size to fit in the trunk of most sedans. I love this stroller and you can add a 2nd seat when no.2 is here. It is more expensive than your average store brands but it is light weight for its superior quality. We use it as a high chair when we are out since the wooden chair provided by most places are still too big for our 7-month old.
Pros
  • use to fold, large canopy, large storage space, comfort, extended foot rest,
Best Uses
  • every day, city, small cars, large canopy,
Cons
  • lack of parents organizer, hard to adjust harness

Good stroller for city life
November 15, 2015
We live in a small home in the city so were looking for a stroller that was light enough to carry up the stairs but substantial enough to handle cobble stone streets. The Cruz is a good fit. It folds down quite small for a full size stroller and with relative ease. It doesn't weigh much so I (a small woman) don't have a problem carrying it myself or getting it in and out of the car. We love the very adjustable handle because my husband and I are very disparate heights. I've used the Vista before but it always seemed a bit big and if you only have one child, I think the Cruz is a great option.
Pros
  • Folds pretty small, Fun Color, Easy to turn into a travel system
Best Uses
  • City living, Infants
