With height adjustment from the waist?instead of at the neck?KidFit® offers both head and shoulder protection throughout every stage.

Breathability + Washability

KidFit® Zip Air includes 3D AirMesh seat/backrest cushions to provide more padding and breathability where kids need it most. Their convenient zip-off design makes it easy to remove the mesh for cleaning while still maintaining use of the standard fabrics underneath. Plus, the seat cushion also extends into a leg rest for first-class comfort. All fabrics, including armrest covers, are removable and machine-washable.

Built for Protection, Stability, and Comfort

KidFit® is equipped with premium LATCH connectors and a SuperCinch® one-pull tightener to stabilize the seat for easy in/out and keep it secured when unoccupied. Belt guides make it easy to position the vehicle seat belt and integrated side wings are lined with EPS energy-absorbing foam for improved impact protection.

A contoured ErgoBoost® Plus seat with triple foam padding provides comfort and support in all the right places, and a 2-position backrest adjusts to mimic the vehicle seat position. The backrest is also removable to create a backless booster for older children.

Convenient and Roadtrip-Ready

Two dishwasher-safe cup holders fold out of the way when empty and are easy to remove for cleaning. A bonus storage console fits into either cup holder to carry big kid necessities.

Care and Maintenance

Hand wash fabrics using mild soap and water, or machine wash in cold water on delicate cycle using mild detergent; hang to dry. The foam insert may be hand rinsed; hang to dry. For plastic parts, sponge clean using warm water and mild soap; towel dry. Do not use bleach on fabric, foam or plastic parts.

As always, Chicco makes the best carseats. I decided to try out a cheaper Britax seat for one of our cars when moving my son to booster seats, but was immediately disappointed at how little padding there was. It felt like he was sitting on plastic. This Chicco carseat has way more padding. I like the kiddie console as well. My son doesn't love the footrest. I didn't realize that if you remove the footrest, you remove a layer of padding. Not a huge deal, but I could have bought the cheapest version of this seat if I wanted only two layers of padding. Ultimately we took out the foam in the footrest and that works well. Also, i foresee food getting stuck in the meshy material. If I had to do it again, I'd get the normal Kidfit Zip. But since the Kidfit Zip Air was way cheaper at the time, I'm satisfied.

This booster is making me thing we should have spent more money on a nice booster like this a long time ago.
Pros
  • I like that it has easy to install anchors to keep it from sliding around and I thought maybe the "Air" thing was a gimick, but it's a pretty cool design to allow airflow to avoid sweaty backs and bottoms during car rides, and the leg rest is pretty cool. I also really like that the cup holders are rigid enough that stuff doesn't fall out but they fold in so they're not in the way if it's a tight fit.

  • We think it will help our daughter stay upright when she falls asleep in the car, especially on long trips which is important for safety (and comfort).

  • None so far.

This is the first time I've ever ordered from albeebaby. My order came faster than expected. The Chicco KidFit Zip Air 2-in-1 High Back Booster Seat is delivered fully assembled with the exception of installing the snack holder. The largest was what drew me to this particular seat. My child has always suffered from her legs falling asleep while riding and this feature has offered her releif. The first day, my 5yr old spilled a drink in her lap. Clean up was EASY. I just unzipped the bottom pad and washed it. I cannot express enough how convenient it is to be able to remove the soiled padding and still have my child provided with the comfort of a back up padding while the unzipped one is cycling through the wash! It comes with an extra set of arm rest covers(wasn't really sure why at first, as the directions didn't address the purpose of additional armrest covers) that I'm assuming are to replace the original covers while the others are washed. The snack holder dubs as a device holder to assist in long rides(note that this use is not endorsed by Chicco. I assume it is common sense to consider that a device could, and likely will, fall off at some point and possibly become damaged as a result). I am pleased that the padding provides extra cushion for long rides as her old one did not and resulted in dull bruising in just 20 minutes. I have 6 kids and have used multiple brands/models of seats. In my personal opinion, this is by far the best seat we've ever bought for this age and stage!.... Bonus: the affordability

I can't express how excited my son was to get this seat. He felt like such a big boy and I felt that he was still safe. I loved that the seat could still be anchored to the car. Its high back makes me feel like he is still safe yet giving him the feeling of being on his own. It was so easy to install and easy for him to be independent in buckling himself. The unzip feature is also great for those messy moments where we need a quick clean of the seat. An extra bonus was the snack cup holder on the side. He just loves to keep his items in this compartment. I would definitely recommend this seat to anyone transitioning from a convertible car seat. What at safe and versatile seat! We moved our daughter from a Chicco convertible car seat into this 2-in-1 belt-positioning booster seat and yet again, are thrilled with the ease of installation, quality and breath-ability of the fabric, versatility and years of use ahead, and most importantly peace of mind over the safety of our child. After the convertible car seat, this is the only seat we will need until she is able to ride in the seat alone. Using it with the back option is the perfect transition into a booster seat.. and being able to remove the back to make it just a booster not only cost-saving, but is also so convenient when we transport our older nephew. The zip option makes for easy clean up as you can just unzip the fabric cover and remove to wash thoroughly outside of the car and easily reattach. Our daughter is excited about the new console attachment for one of the cup holders to hold snacks and as an ipad stand for long trips. Double cup holders has been a nice feature for extra storage for her and fewer times of reaching to the back seat for me! The leg rest feature takes the pressure off of her knees and eliminates her legs "falling asleep" on longer trips.
We are completely satisfied with the KidFit Zip Air 2-in-1 Belt Positioning Booster Seat! We know our daughter is both safe and comfortable in the car. Another great product made by Chicco.

Chicco provided me this product in exchange for my honest opinion. I couldn't be happier about being selected to test this booster seat. The first thing I noticed after it was put together, which was very easy, was the strength and durability of the seat. It is very solid. When I put it in my car I was surprised that it also came with anchor connections, something none of my prior booster seats were equipped with. The shoulder and lap belt guides kerp the seatbelt from rubbing my daughter's neck, which was also an issue with previous seats. Finally, my daughter loves the comfort of the seat. With mix of safety and comfort, I would highly recommend the KidFit Zip to any parents who are in search of a car conversion booster seat.

Perfect Booster for our Granddaughter

We got the KidFit Zip Air booster for our 4 year old granddaughter and she loves it! Installation with the latch system was very easy. One of our favorite features is the leg rest, which is not only comfortable for granddaughter, but also allows her to sit comfortably and safely in the seat. This car seat has made the transition from convertible to booster a very pleasant experience for both my daughter and myself! First, the seat was super easy to assemble and install. Second, my daughter loves her new big girl seat. She was thrilled to have her own cup holder and storage container, where she likes to keep her sunglasses and small toys!, Third, the transition from a five point harness to using the actual seatbelt has been really positive and I feel that my daughter is very safe in this seat!

We got this booster for our 4 year old son, as he is transitioning from his 5 point car seat. It took less than 5 minutes to take this from the box and get it into the car. The seat clips into the latch system in seconds and fits perfectly into our Nissan Rogue. The part he loves best is the foot rest. It keeps his legs at a more natural angle and doesn't hurt the back of his knees like some of the other seats we tried out. Overall, we think this is a really great seat and our son loves it too!

I've always preferred Chicco products for several reasons, but this newest KidFit Zip Air tops them all! Great styling, easy tightening and leg rests are all nice but the zip off covers are THE BEST design. Since I seem to be the one installing and removing car seats, I really appreciate how easy these tasks can be performed. Thanks, Chicco!

We acquired this child safety seat a few weeks ago, and our 3 year old loves it. In addition to the seat being safe, she says it is very comfortable. Also, she loves the leg rest, the storage container for some of her little belongings, and cup holder for her morning drinks. We have two older children who had more basic seats, and even they are jealous of all the extras. We are so glad we chose the Chiccousa Zipair 2 in 1 for our travel needs!

I am very happy with this booster seat! I love the blue color and it was very easy for me to install myself. I think it is more narrow than other car seats and booster seats that I have had because there is definitely more room in the middle seat between this booster seat and my other car seat. Love the extended foot rest

We needed a new car seat for our six year old and wanted something that was easy to install, narrow enough to fit three car seats in our back seat, and comfortable for long trips. The KidFit Zip Air 2 in 1 was perfect for our needs. Our child loved the extended foot rest, and thought the seat was very comfortable. We were able to fit a booster seat between this seat and another larger car seat, so that was an added plus. It was very easy to install and it will be great as a backless booster for the future. Great seat!

My 4 Year Old Loves It and So Do We!

Our boys were so excited when the new big kid car seat arrived. The fact that it looked cool too was a big bonus. The seat was mostly assembled with the arms being the only thing needing to be put on. Did I mention that it comes with a drink holder and snack compartment? This feature was cool enough to cause a fight between my 4 year old and his 2 year old little brother who got jealous. The base of the car seat installed easily and includes a simple tightening feature. It feels sturdy and snug when belted in. I also tried taking the cushion material off to test how easy it would be to wash after my kid spills milk, apple juice, ice cream, yogurt, or vomits on it. Removal and reassembly of the cloth were not difficult and are a huge benefit. Cleaning this car seat was easier than any other we'd had in the past. The features included with the seat are great and allow for long term use. The back is adjustable and raises up or down with a lever on the top. The seat is light which is great for travel when you take a plane to visit family. The leg rest is a fun feature that makes napping much more comfortable on long road trips. . I would definitely recommend this seat to anyone looking for a safe, reliable, and easy to install seat. My son loves it!

No 5 point Harness!

I really wanted to purchase this car seat for my 4 year old grandchild. However, there is no harness! Even though this car seat is rated for 30 pounds, 38 inches, and 4 years old - a harness for the smallest fit would be ideal! I love the foot rest. That was a great addition. Bummed that I cannot use this car seat.

We recently switched my 6 year old daughter to this car seat and we are very happy with it. She is comfortable with both the back attached and backless booster. It is very easy to clean and I was able to install it in my car without any difficulty. It's versatile features make it a great fit for any young child who is ready to use a lap belt. I will definitely be using this car seat for my younger boys once they fit the age and weight requirements!

Great Booster Seat!

We recently transitioned our daughter from a convertible carseat to this booster seat. She really likes it. It is very comfortable and she loves the foot rest. She says her carseat is very cozy The only downfall with this booster is that the covers that go on the armrests don't fit well and they fall off very easily. It's probably easier just to leave them off. I love that you can easily unzip parts of this and wash the fabric. It is extremely helpful. Overall, this is a great booster
