This quite inexpensive item is a success with our grandson; it's light, folds up very small, and its mesh sides means that the baby can see outside of it and we can see him. It was too late to use the smaller bassinet--it only works for babies under 15 lbs so it's soon outgrown. The mattress is awfully thin, however, so we ordered a somewhat plumper one. There are much fancier ones, more expensive, that are clumsy for the parents and heavier. This one's better.
