Difference between Maclaren Triumph and Techno
November 7, 2018
We returned this stroller, because we ordered 2 Maclarens - Triumph and Techno and decided to go with Techno, because of our personal needs. So wtitting this review I might help someone to decide. So mainly - Techno is bigger seat, bigger wheels (easier push and manouvring) than Triumph. That makes it also heavier, so if you need to carry it to your apartment, it might become a pain... Thay both recline, so they are good from little age, but usually Techno comes with head rests, footmuffs, so it is easier in winter. Techno rides in any terrain, because of bigger wheels, but as for any umbrella push gets harder as kids get older. So my recommendation for Triumph would be - if you need a stroller for travel, or to keep in trunk for malls, walks on very smooth, showeled terrain or need to carry stroller around much. Techno is heavier, bigger, but better stroller as you babies will become 3-4 year olds. Note, that if fold starts to become not so smooth, it starts to get harder to fold/unfold - WD40 works like a charm. On the whole I love Maclarens quality, can't compare to Zoe (had a double too- very shaky and hard to push if kids are older)
Pros
- Weight and quality proportion.
- Price at Albee Baby.
Best Uses
- Travel, quick trips, if you need to carry a diuble stroller up the stairs.
Cons
- Smaller wheels, harder push, if toddler is bigger and puffer jacket, seat seams too small.
