Great travel and light everyday stroller
August 6, 2022
Love this stroller for many reasons. It's lightweight and does great through the airport or stores. Not meant for grass, pebbles, or any terrain that isn't perfectly smooth

It reclines almost flat for naps

Cons is canopy could be even bigger for when seat is reclined
My handle cushion ripped and handle chipped a bit making it difficult to handle without it pinching my skin

I love this stroller, it doesn't take up much room at all but I'm disappointed because I've only had it for two months and when i try to open it the left side is not locking.

Seems uncomfortable for my child.
April 25, 2022
I really Love how compact this is. But it seems very uncomfortable for my daughter. She always sleeps like she's sliding out. The straps are not easy to adjust. Every video I see Has a clip buckle on the back but mine is more like you tighten to adjust which recline level you'd like. It's not easy to adjust though. I wish the stroller had more comfort level, or a bar for my daughter to at least hold on to. It just seems awkward.

1 leg won't close
November 15, 2021
We bought this stroller because we loved how small and compact it was compared to other strollers. My two year old is able to sit in it comfortably and is able to sleep without having to be sit up which we love. But not having it a full year and now the stroller won't close. We can't figure out why as one leg will bend and the other will not and there's no way we can see inside to figure out the issue. So now we have to haul the stroller in the car fully opened since it won't close and it's so inconvenient! We had completely loved this stroller too!

Perfect and compact
November 12, 2021
This stroller stays in the back of my minivan at all times. It is perfect and impact! My 2 year old stays comfortable and doesn't try to squirm out. I think that not having the tray in front makes a big difference to where they don't feel trapped.

The only compact needed
November 11, 2021
I have a 3 year old toddler who doesn't like to walk in large crowds. We recently started using the Maxi-Cosi Lara Ultra Compact Stroller when we go to the mall and on our recent trip to NYC. It was the best size for fitting in my trunk and limits bulk while traveling. It was super lightweight as I was going solo with my daughter on the flight. My daughter fit comfortably inside the seat with the harness and the storage underneath held my purse and additional shopping bags we acquired.

Great for traveling
November 10, 2021
I do like the Maxi Cosi Lara Ulta Compact stroller because it fits the name. It is super comfortable for my almost 1 year old daughter who is 20lbs. I love that it is super light, it does not take up much space in my trunk, it is super fast & easy to use (open and close). It has one medium size basket in the bottom where my diaper bag perfectly fits! But it also has like a "bag" right bellow the seat, so I can put my purse, or snacks, bottled water, etc. It also has a cup holder! I love the reclining feature, when my girl fells asleep i just reclined all the way down and unfold the foot rest. I wouldn't suggest this for any child under 10 months or 20 lbs, it's not that sturdy and not something that easily maneuvers on any surface other than concrete or inside buildings. It's sleek and looks like an expensive stroller but doesn't have the strength of one, which is why I use it all the time for family trips, stores, airports, or anywhere that I don't want to lug a larger heavy duty stroller or where there will be crowded places to get through. Fits in the car easily and my daughter seems to like it alot as well. The straps are easy to put on the child but again aren't small and won't hold a smaller baby.

Lightweight, Convenient, Comfortable
November 10, 2021
My wife and I have previously only owned and used Chicco Strollers and didn't have a lightweight stroller in our arsenal. This one, while roughly the same cost as our bigger Chicco Bravo, performs well and folds down very nicely.

The dual storage baskets, premium fabrics, and sunshade viewing window set this apart from the standard options out there. It seems to be very well-made and is incredibly light.

Pros:
- Premium Fabrics
- Lightweight
- Compact
- Rolls smoothly and easily
- Dual storage baskets
- Cup Holder
- Peek-a-boo Viewing Window
- Folding seat bolster (to extend the seat when in the horizontal position.

Cons:
- Folding button is a little difficult to press at first and takes some getting use to.
- A bit shaky (compared to a full-sized stroller).
- The Velcro attachment point for the sunshade is a little weak when the seat is in the vertical position. That said, I don't think this will impact functionality, just surprising.
- The stroller is bound to show some wear when stored in the folded-vertical position if you slide it around. If it had rubber "heels" to rest on, it would likely show less wear.

Beats the competition!
November 6, 2021
I have a similar stroller from a competitor and this hands down wins! Folds open and closed smoothly and with ease. Love the additional storage basket that I did not have on different stroller. I loved the peak through window for the parent. I received this item free to review but I would 100% purchase and recommend!

Wonderful stroller
November 1, 2021
For a compact stroller this is very nice. Its very simple to assemble from the box. The black color is great and the fabric is very soft. I appreciate that it comes with a cup holder. The stroller is very simple to open and close. I like that it has the ability to recline. It's a tad difficult to go from recline to upright with a child in the seat. Its also not the best with uneven sidewalks and random sticks that get in the way. Its very smooth for flat and clean surfaces. I like that the stroller has 2 storage ares, they aren't very big but it's a small stroller so its not a negative. I had 0 issues with where the break pedal is and never accidentally put on the breaks.

Pretty good stroller
November 1, 2021
I received the Maxi-Cosi Lara Ultra Compact stroller for free through BzzAgent to review. This is a decent lightweight stroller ideal for traveling or maybe as a backup. I gave this stroller 3 stars because I probably wouldn't use it everyday, but it's slightly more convenient to throw in my car than my current everyday stroller, the Summer 3DLite+. Both strollers weigh in the same at 14 lbs, which is pretty light. I can carry both while carrying my child easily, but the Lara folds up quickly with one hand and breaks down into a flatter size than the 3DLite+, which fits better in my compact car. However, the Lara didn't come with a carrying strap like I saw online, so that was a bit of a con! Not sure if it was missing from my box or I just didn't get the version with the strap. I really like the size of the two storage baskets on the Lara, the bottom one fits our backpack diaper bag (whereas the 3DLite+ won't fit our diaper bag), and the second storage basket is convenient for items I need to grab quickly. However, I do like the fact that the 3DLite+ has a zip pouch to hold money/smaller items, so I wish one of the storage baskets on the Lara were a bit more secure. The 3DLite+ has both a phone holder and a cup holder, which I love whereas the Lara only has the cup holder, so that's a bit of a con. I like the water resistant canopy on the Lara with the see through mesh to check on your child through, but the 3DLite+ has that as well. One of the major cons with the Lara is the seat positions. When the seat is up-right, it looks really uncomfortable and awkward for my child, like they're forced to lean forward. Additionally, the Lara does not maneuver as well as the 3DLite+. It struggles a bit with "off roading" and uneven sidewalks. Overall, not a bad stroller for how compact it is, I'd probably throw it in my car and use it if I needed to carry more stuff in it than I normally do since it's got more storage space than my 3DLite+, but it is not going to replace my everyday stroller!

A Quality Secondary Stroller
October 31, 2021
A suitable back up stroller. My primary stroller is the Babyzen YoYo.

Pros:

- Super quick and easy to assemble right out of the box. No instructions. Ready to go in seconds.

- Glides and turns well. Has a good feel to it.

- Lightweight, easily collapsible.

- Cover repels water nicely.

- Nice grip on the handle / push bar

- Good for tight crowds, maneuvering around a restaurant...not bulky.

- Two pouches to store stuff / gear.

- Cup holder included!!

Cons:
- Wheels feel a little cheap. Stroller gets stuck easily on cracks in the sidewalk or debris.

- I kept kicking the wheel lock causing the stroller to come to a complete stop. Very annoying and potentially unsafe.

- For some reason my one year old son wouldn't sit back and relax. He'd only sit forward and look over the side. Doesn't do this with other strollers.

Compact but with stroller necessities
October 31, 2021
I recently have been on a lifting restriction so found the Maxi-Cosi Lara Ultra Compact Stroller something that I could handle without issue. While the compact nature and weight are great features, we also love the fact that it still had the storage space that we use so frequently and a drink holder.
The stroller itself is very smooth to maneuver. Some additional features that really added to the quality included the ability to have a deep recline (great for napping) and extended shade/UV protection. The peek-a-boo opening and head rest are nice added features as well.
The stroller folds up very easy and springs right back out with easy when ready to use.
The only two things we noticed were that the straps were a bit of a challenge to feed through and adjust. Also not having a top bar for cell phones/keys was a bit awkward, but the smaller pocket is nice to hold these items as well.

Love don't love
Love: extra shade. Super easy out of box and fully set in minutes. Super small storage fits in my small car. Easy break to stop. Extra head padding. cup holder
Dont love:
Permanent recline position even pushed up as much as can. Difficult to feed straps through plastic. No easy access place for phone except under seat basket.

Very Light and compact stroller
October 27, 2021
This stroller stands up to it's words of being an compact and light weight stroller. It folds down to a boxy shape for easy storage and movement. We were able to store this in our car trunk and takes just as much space as the water bottles cases. It was easy to carry and can be operated with one hand with some learning.

Lightweight, stylish, and easy to use
October 26, 2021
I was so excited to receive this stroller! I tried it out for walks and it was comfortable for both my toddler and my infant. The five-point harness securely and snuggly held both children. The seat and harness has soft padding which lends itself to a comfortable ride. There is also a soft headrest for extra comfort. I like that there are two areas for storage under the seat. A small area right below the seat is good for a small wristlet, phone, or something needing easy accessibility. The larger area won't hold a diaper bag, but it will hold a small bag for diapers, wipes, etc. The stroller is super easy to steer and navigate on bumps and smooth terrain. It might have just been me, but it was easy to accidentally step on the break while walking since it is right at wheel level. I like that the sun/wind shield can be extended to cover more if necessary. I felt the cup holder wasn't very sturdy, even just for a water bottle, it didn't secure tightly to the stroller.
Overall, this stroller is a great compact, comfortable stroller! It folds up so compactly it doesn't take up much room and is easy to carry and transport. I would absolutely recommend this stroller for its ease of use and comfort!

Great compact stroller
January 23, 2021
My research started after buying airline tickets and having a 2 year old. I wanted a stroller to easily navigate the airports and one we could possibly bring on the plane if needed. We had unavoidable layovers to our destination and back home. This stroller was just released and fit what I was looking for! Light weight and compact. This stroller is wonderful! I now use this stroller as the main stroller for my second child. Highly recommend.

Too flimsy. Not recommended for bigger babies
June 7, 2020
I got this stroller for my 9 month old as a gift . The stroller is very flimsy And locks on me. This morning I was walking to the store and when trying to turn the stroller it locked causing the stroller to tip to the side and thankfully I was able to catch it before it hit the ground with my LO inside. It has no front bar which I feel is no protection to my LO. My LO is 24 pds and it feels like he is in a doll stroller. Unfortunately I have no recipe due to it being a gift and not wanting to seem ungrateful. I now have to go out and spend non a more sturdy stroller. I wanted to love it but this is NOT it.

Do not recommend
January 1, 2020
This was an expensive item which broke rather quickly and sadly, it is extremely dangerous due to the location of its break. When using this for traveling please be cautious while walking, the stroller will lock very easily causing the stroller to flip forward. It happened several times and we nearly went over our own daughter. The seat sat up so straight she couldn't even get comfortable and the leg rest broke while try to Close it. It definitely made our trip challenging. I do not recommend this at all.

It's a fail and This is life threatening product
October 17, 2019
this product must be recalled! very dangerous!
Today, was a very tragic day, I lived a horrific moments with my baby girl.
The stroller got locked and flipped with my baby girl inside it, I tripped over it my self, luckily my baby girl had her belt fastened. The moment I stood up and lifted the stroller, I found my daughter all shaky with her eyes closed. My baby a girl and I were shaky and terrified.
She had her chin injured.
FYI: I have been facing a problem with this stroller since the first day I bought back in June 2019, it locks by itself that's because of the faulty design. I read reviews and users are sharing the same concerns.
This stroller handle is not parallel to the ground, it is lower on the left side, higher on the right side, making it difficult to push straight. when walking, brake is in the place of the right foot, which causes the sudden break.

The brake is too close to the foot in which it results sudden stops during the walk

The wheels don't easily roll over bumps without having to tilt the stroller back and lift the wheels, and at times an uneven sidewalk has jolted us to a stop tipping the stroller forward, which is a safety concern.

This is life threatening and I m very upset with what happened today with your invention.

We buy your invention because we trust you but in this case, you should recall all these strollers or this will cost you much.

don't buy it if you care about your kids!
next time I ll trust more the reviews!!!!

Love it but it's already failing me
October 13, 2019
I purchased this about a month ago since I'm a big fan of Maxi Cosi products but after a few weeks of use I've noticed one of the side bars isn't locking and when I push the stroller it feels as if its not sturdy enough. I'm kinda scared to push my child on it. I'm not sure if it's defective or what. Overall I love the design and how easy it is but this is worrysome. Where i purchased from won't accept a return.

Loving it!
September 30, 2019
I have the red one. It is super comfortable for my almost 2 year old girl. I love the reclining feature, when my girl fells asleep i just reclined all the way down and unfold the footrest (this is what I wish it was a little longer, just to be able to fully fit my little girl) Her feet are not all the way in.
I use it all the time for family trips, stores, airport, we love it!

Defective after 2 weeks
August 30, 2019
I'm so sad that this stroller wasn't everything that we wished for!! We absolutely love Maxi-Cosi car seats and thought this lightweight travel stroller would be perfect for us. But unfortunately after two weeks of use (normal civilized use) with my 5 month old who can't really ruin it like a toddler maybe would, one of the rear wheels is getting stuck like a bad grocery cart and the button to open the stroller is loose! I did a lot a research before purchasing and now I'm stuck with this stroller that will definitely not make it to toddlerhood!

Love this so much! It’s been with us to the lake, in the mountains and has worked perfectly!!
The only thing i wish was different was if it had a little deeper of a seat. This isn’t a stroller a child can just sit in even without moving the child has to buckled.

Useful for a long time
August 2, 2019
We've had this stroller in heavy use for well over a year, and it's still going strong (admirable since our now toddler is getting stronger too). I second all the good reviews of this stroller already written, but would like to add how useful it is when your child is ambulatory but may tire, and need occasional stroller assist. We don't mind having to haul a stroller for such occasions, when it's so lightweight and foldable. We live in NYC proper so this stroller has been through a lot.

Love Love LOVE!!
November 24, 2018
I have used a lot of strollers and am quite particular. Especially weary of lightweighters not giving me a smooth ride like say, my BOB.
But let me just say, this sucker is amazing!! It's now my go to stroller which I NEVER thought I'd say.
I can pop curbs (can you even believe that?? I approached a curb and didn't want to go all the way around, so I went for it) easy as pie. Then strolled over uneven grass and gravel path....all a breeze.
Getting it in/out of car with one hand whilst holding a baby- DREAM COME TRUE! Collapsing and unfolding with one hand, amazing!
I hand things off the sturdy cup holder - no probs- altho not totally recommended, and the bottom basket is large for such a compact stroller.
I'm literally OBSESSED!
I'll only take another stroller now is we are climbing/hiking and it will be the BOB.
I'm literally baffled by the smoothness of the ride and the easy one handed 360 degree turns this can pull off. Only a Stokke ever did that kind of maneuver well for me, this is even better. Double doorways, no prob, slim spaces, no prob.
Truly love this!

An upgrade from the traditional umbrella compact stroller!
October 16, 2018
For reference, the stroller I use today is an UppaBaby Vista. One of the things I love about this stroller is how light and compact it is - my UB takes up my entire trunk space and this one is about the size of a book bag. It's super light weight and easy for my skinny little arms to carry. I also really like the extra storage space it has - on the bottom and then a second one right under the seat, as well as the included cup holder. Also very easy to fold and unfold. I don't like the location of the foot brake - it isn't right above the wheels like my other strollers and sometimes when I am walking, my foot will accidentally hit the brake. Although the seat has ability to recline, it uses a strap to adjust the recline. I prefer the one hand recline that the UB has because it does give me more control. Otherwise, this is an overall great stroller than is a nice and premium step up from the traditional umbrella stroller. It's not as big as your traditional strollers but not as bare minimum as your $20 umbrella either so it's a great in between.

October 12, 2018
This carriage folds up super small and fits perfect in the back of my small SUV. It's bery easy to fold up. The padding is thick and a nice quality. I use it for grocery shopping and taking quick store trips. The attached cover is cool and there is some storage as well.

What I don't like is that there is only two options for the baby to sit. Straight up or laying flat. The back piece is held up with a strap and buckle. It is VERY hard to snap that buckle together and the baby is totally vertical. It would be nice if the strap had more slack on it for more seating positions.

Perfect for us... this checked all the boxes!
October 9, 2018
I've been looking for the perfect stroller to travel with. I wanted something light with a compact fold for travel. I've tried the Oxo Air, which did not feel sturdy. I've tried the Inglesina Net, which was too long for travel. The Maxi Cosi Lara is light and sturdy for being compact. It's a smooth ride and it steers very easily. One of favorite features is the fold. When folded, it is about the size of a backpack. It folds and unfolds very easily... I can do it with one hand. The fabric is soft and the seat reclines flat so the baby can nap ( my baby doesn't
nap ). The bottom basket is what you would expect from a compact stroller. It's small, but still fits my mini backpack perfectly. It also has a smaller basket just above that is good for keys or your phone. I don't use the parent cup holder that it comes with, I use a stroller organizer for drinks and snacks. I could not ask for more... this stroller is perfect for us! I'm looking forward to traveling again.

AMAZING
October 8, 2018
Ok so I was skeptical when I first got this because I'm not a fan of small umbrella type strollers but this one is AMAZING. I live in NYC, and this Stiller is perfect. I can take buses and trains easily with this stroller and it folds up perfectly to fly with or put into a taxi. This is my favorite stroller and I've had a few.

Lightweight stroller ideal for travel
October 3, 2018
I received this stroller for free in exchange for my honest review.

This is a good lightweight stroller for use in traveling or on smooth level surfaces. I gave this stroller 3 stars because I can't use it everyday, but it is the most convenient for on the go. Here is a breakdown of my pros and cons:
Pros:
-Lightweight - I am a petite individual and can easily carry this stroller in one arm and my child in the other without any struggle
-Compact - It folds flat and easily can fit into the trunk of my sedan, making it ideal for trips
- Easy to open and close - The stroller easily opens and collapses with one hand and stays closed effortlessly (unlike an umbrella stroller where you manually have to snap the lock in place)
Neutral:
-The extendable canopy is nice for keeping the sun out of your child's eyes, however, it doesn't seem to snap into place which makes this feature not function as intended. The canopy on its own functions fine and I haven't had any issues needing the extendable canopy
-There are 2 storage baskets. The top basket is convenient for items you need to easily access (snacks, wipes, blanket, etc.) Neither basket is large but unless you will be using the stroller all day, it holds plenty.
-2 seat positions: My child doesn't like to recline but the feature is nice for a sleeping or smaller child who needs to be reclined. I will discuss the upright position in my cons section.
Cons:
-Upright position leaves my child sitting at what looks like almost a 90 degree angle, and this is a little too upright. At times it looks like he is leaning forward out of the stroller, even when harnessed in.
-Not suitable for uneven surfaces. The stroller doesn't maneuver well on older sidewalks that may have gaps or be uneven in areas. The wheels don't easily roll over bumps without having to tilt the stroller back and lift the wheels, and at times an uneven sidewalk has jolted us to a stop tipping the stroller forward, which is a safety concern.

Lightweight, easy to maneuver stroller
October 3, 2018
I have 2 year old twins but use a single stroller more than our double as I use it to get in and out of daycare. The stroller was very easy to put together and it took less than 5 minutes. The stroller glides very nicely and you can lock the front wheels if needed. I like that you can lock and unlock the back with just a step of the foot. I use that feature most of all. I love the color as it hides dirt and crumbs easily. It's incredibly easy to open and close - I can do either with one hand. It's also incredibly lightweight and folds up compact - a bonus! A downside is it only had 2 positions - reclining and upright. The upright seems to be a little too upright and I wish you could adjust it. The straps aren't very easy to tighten and my boys can get out of them easily. The canopy is a good size and repels water really well. The basket is somewhat small, but I don't need it for much. There is a removable cup holder, which we have not used yet. Overall, I would recommend the Lara Ultra Compact Stroller. I wish I had found it sooner myself.

So glad I found this stroller!
September 28, 2018
We came to realize that we needed a smaller stroller. Our other one is great for neighborhood strolls, but it's a bit too bulky to take on trips. This one is awesome because it folds up nice and small without taking up too much space in the trunk. We can just leave it in the car and there's plenty of room for all of our other stuff. Also, it's great to have two storage areas. The one at the bottom easily fits our backpack. And I love the second storage space, too in the back. It's nice having easy access to snacks or toys, without having to reach way down underneath the stroller. My little one is pretty comfy in there, too. He tends to run on the hot and sweaty side, and the mesh fabric helps tame the sweat factor.

Soooo Easy to install and Compact too
September 27, 2018
This is the fastest installed stroller I've ever used. It was set up in under 2 minutes! Yes 2 minutes. This is excellent compared to the other stroller I used which was bit more involved. Here's what I love about this stroller

It's lightweight
It's simple and easy to install
It folds easily
It comes with all of the necessary items
It has a wide big canopy
It is very compact
Its cost effective
I like that there is a seating footrest that allows you to put up or down depending on how big/small your child is

A few cons would be
The seat rest is a bit wobbly
A way to attach a carseat is not evident.

Other than that I love this stroller. It's a great buy and ultra compact and lightweight. Perfect for first time or non-first time moms

Lara Ultra Compact Stroller
September 27, 2018
Let me start out and let everyone's know that, out of all the different strollers I've tried this compact stroller is so much better,

it's very comfortable, lightweight, and easy for me to move around. Folds up and also is very easy for me to fold up and put in my vehicle.

I would definitely purchase this carriage in the future, for myself or if I had a baby shower to go to, actually since I've been using it a few of my friends have also been looking into purchasing one for there children.

I was never aware of the Lara Ultra Compact Stroller before, definitely wish I had known about them previously.

I highly recommend the Lara Ultra Compact Stroller, to everyone, you will be very impressed as I was when using it.

From Maxi Cosi: This stroller is designed with travel in mind and fits into the smallest of spaces when folded. However, we would recommend contacting your airline of choice prior to travel for any requirements or restrictions they might have regarding travel with strollers. Folded dimensions for the Lara are approximately as follows: 20 x 19 x 15 (height x width x length in inches) and it weighs 14 lbs
