Maxi Cosi Priori Convertible Car Seat in Night Owl

I don't think this carseat is purple at all. I got one for my son and we LOVE it. I just got another one for our other car. The color is fine for a boy or girl, and the price can't be beat. Consumers Reports rated these carseats as a safe.

We love these seats! I have to disagree with the previous poster-the night owl is more purple than blue, but I find them far from girly. It's a very deep shade of purple, black, and blue so IMO it's fine for boys too. We also found it easy to install once we got the hang of it. And very easy to put squirmy little kids into!

This is a great car seat! We had bought a different one but when our baby fell asleep his head would tip forward. I then shopped around until I found this car seat! It's perfect. I love the recline feature and the latch system is so much easier than my last car seat. Sorry, but I disagree w/ the other review. It doesn't look girly to us. It's a very dark shade of purple and black...I would recommend to anyone.

Seat is as stated above, more dark violet than a true blue, but it is not girly. (It is not gender specific like lilac) When the seat arrived, the anchor latch was not installed by the manufacturer correctly. I called thier 1800 number and a very polite woman instructed me on how to remove and correctly reinstall the anchor latch belt. I stalled the seat forward facing with the latch system - while watching a 1 year old and a 5 year old- in about 40 min. That 40 min includes time to open the box, read instructions, remove old seat and call the manufacturer about the anchor latch problem.

We love this seat! I bought this the other day and it's perfect except we were expecting Blue! It's not, it's a really deep shade of purple. (very pretty for a girl) So we're returning it, but in the meantime we purchased this in Tan Tech and we love it. We've had it for about a week now. People complain that it's hard to install, as long as you follow the directions you shouldn't have any problems. Although we've only installed it using the latch system and rearfacing. But just beware that the Night Owl shade is girly.
