Great compact, high class stroller
February 16, 2021
We purchased the Z4 travel system in August of 2020 and had our son in October. My husband and I picked this stroller system bc it can easily convert to a double stroller for when we have a second child, had great safety ratings, and when I was a baby, my mother had a Peg Perego and it stood the test of time (Im 36 yrs old and that stroller lasted through two kids+ In the 1980s). We have been using it for almost 4 months now. The stroller itself, once you get used to opening it, is a breeze to use. It is easy to open, is compact in my trunk/takes up about half of my trunk (we have a 2016 Toyota Rav 4) and rides smooth. There is an option to lock the wheels so you cannot turn the stroller (we never use this option) and the option to move 360 degrees - we use this 100% of the time. The brake lever is simple to use with your foot. The lever to close the stroller is also straight forward. The storage basket is deceiving- it can hold more than you think! I can go shopping at Target, put a large laundry detergent bottle in the basket, other shopping essentials and have plenty of room. This is great! The handle is easy to grip - I wish there was a coffee/water bottle holder, but Im looking into getting a universal one that clamps on. The way the car seat attaches to the base in the car is super easy and the carseat base is very easy to install. My ONE AND ONLY con to this system is how heavy the car seat is. I am very strong with great upper body strength (I did crossfit prior to pregnancy) and I STILL find it challenging to lift the car seat in and out of the base due to the weight of the carseat, however, since safety comes first and this system had great safety ratings, I will just have start lifting more weights! Overall, this is a classy, smooth, solid, well designed travel system and would highly recommend. It is also travel/plane approved and fits in smaller cars. Since the stroller is not bulky and is rather narrow, taking it into stores or walking on a more narrow sidewalk is not a problem!
Cons
- Weight of the actual carseat
