Small undercarriage basket; handle broke easily; very difficult to find replacement part. Folds up nice and compact for airline travel. Seat adjusts well.

The lightest stroller ever!
May 25, 2021
I absolutely love this stroller! It’s super light, super compact and great for traveling. Now, with the being said, there are some cons in my opinion. My son is at the age where a snack tray is KEY, so even if I had to purchase one separately I would, but unfortunately silver cross doesn’t make it for this model. They also don’t have a cup attachment either for this, but hey no worries there’s plenty of universal ones. The other con with be the bottom storage, there’s not really a lot storage space at all for obvious reasons so keep that in mind.

For me the purpose for this stroller was traveling, so it checks off all my essential needs for those trips.

AWESOME light, quality stroller!

I got this for my mother-in-law so that she would have a stroller of her own that wasn’t heavy or large. This is PERFECT!! My 1 year old loves the belly bar, and it’s just a light, easy-to-travel-with stroller. I got one for my mom as well!
Pros
  • Light, compact, small, good quality
Best Uses
  • As a second or travel stroller
Cons
  • Takes some practice opening and closing it

This is just okay. Not preferred.

Gosh I wish I went with another stroller this review is for the 2020 stroller, which I thought was supposed to be a better upgrade. . Here is the thing. I have the silver cross double strollers and I had some issues with that but I went with this because reviews were high. We live in Manhattan for context.

Cons:
This stroller gets stuck a lot on the sidewalks because nyc sidewalks can be uneven.

The seat is too far laid back. It’s not the best for my child. Leans them too far back even though it’s on the highest setting

Flimsy flimsy flimsy. Can easily top over. You have to be careful.

The brakes are a joke. For a stroller over $300, clicking the green button to take the brakes off is not a smooth transition. I have to do it twice at times

Bottom storage is not usable. So so tiny and there is a bar in the middle so you can’t stick a whole bag under there.

Opening the stroller is not as smooth as the video looks. You have to adjust the bottom first and then make sure you push up the side bars to ensure it all locks into place. Not smooth.

Pros: canopy is large

The handle bars are nice color.

Folds really compact and you can hold it on your shoulder.

The wheels turn 360 so you can use one hand, but again it’s flimsy so if there is a bump in the road ergonomically, it will tip over. Poor design!!!

I would not recommend this product, I would encourage you to get another travel stroller that can be more effective and usable

Best Uses
  • Probably only for travel in the airport.

Less than expected
November 13, 2020
Its definitely not 1 hand fold or 1 hand open. I am 4' 11 and I struggled to open it to secure. Its light and smoothly maneuver however the eclipse is not as nice as i hoped. The only nice feature is the canopy design is beautiful but I hate the material of the rest of the stroller its nylon type and its not soft. My son cried as long as he stays in there without moving, I really wanted to like it but im so disappointed overall. I'm debating whether to return or not or just hope my son will eventually like it. He is 5months and he tried 2 different brands of strollers before (graco and colugo) and both he was ok with. I WANTED sth light because I wanted to travel with and it was just so disappointing.
Pros
  • Light drive smoothly
Cons
  • Material is hard
  • Difficult to open

Nice things can come in small packages

If you want to travel in style and don't want to compromise form or function, this is the stroller for you. First and foremost, lets talk about the size. It folds small, can fit in the overhead bin (put this next to my trusty carry-on that I've taken on international flights to double check), and rolls smooth both opened and when collapsed and wheeled like luggage. I love how little trunk space it takes up. This was the biggest reason we started looking at this stroller and it did not disappoint! The second thing to highlight would be the look and materials. We loved how the Ocean color was not the typical black or gray we're so used to seeing, and the leather accents really do make this stand out. I will say that the Ocean color seems to incorporate gray tones into it so the frame and fabric are not as blue as the pictures appear. The fabric is soft and thick enough that you don't feel the underlying frame. In terms of actual use, I appreciate how both my wife and I feel comfortable pushing this stroller despite our 8 inch height difference considering this stroller does not have any adjustments to the handle bar. The recline is fairly flat and the hood coverage can make a nice cocoon of shade from the sun. It's welcomed that the stroller included a rain cover and protective cover for when its folded instead of requiring a separate purchase for either, with the latter having a thoughtful pouch to store the bumper bar and make its folded profile nice and small. The fold did take getting used to coming from umbrella-style strollers that were simple two-step processes (opening it up from being folded was straightforward), and I had to practice this a few times to be comfortable doing it one-handed. The only real negative is the lack of storage space. The basket has a support bar that runs center from the back to the front that obstructs placing things in or taking things out, so even squeezing a fairly flat, slim diaper bag in there isn't convenient if needing to access it frequently. This is also one of those strollers that feels like it will tip easily when you take your baby out if hanging things on the handle bar. These aren't any compromises we did not expect going with an ultralight stroller, but at least the baskets in other models did not have any bar blocking the top and essentially compartmentalizing the basket into two areas. We pack very light and don't mind wearing our bag since its not heavy or place things (diapers, wipes, 1-2 bottles) into 2 small pouches that can easily go underneath in the basket. If you're not a light packer, this will pose a problem for you. This stroller also has a high weight limit compared to other ultralights, so as your child grows and you don't need to pack as much, this becomes less of an issue. Besides wishing the basket design was better, I also would have loved if there was either a grab handle or latch points for a strap to carry or wear the stroller for transport.
The stroller is light enough that this would allow freeing up both hands if worn, or sometimes its just faster to grab a stroller by the handle to take it from point A to point B instead of rolling it (think carrying it in and out of a plane, bus, or even from one car trunk to the next). Overall, we love the compact size, the full features offered (large shade, recline, bumper bar, covers), quality of fabrics and frame, and the fact that we could turn this into a travel system with our Nuna Pipa carrier (in a significantly smaller form factor compared to the Nuna Mixx stroller). If you're looking for a stroller that checks off those boxes and can live with limited storage, you can feel confident that the Silver Cross Jet is the stroller for you.
Pros
  • Compact fold (carry-on size)
  • Fully-featured
  • Nice materials
  • Smooth push
  • Convenient
  • Travel-system ready
  • High weight limit
Best Uses
  • Errands and shopping
  • Travel
  • Small cars or public transit
Cons
  • Non-traditional fold process
  • Lack of storage underneath
  • Wish it had a carry-handle to grab or latch points to attach a shoulder strap when folded

Works perfectly to connect a Nuna Pipa to the Silver Cross 2020 Jet
June 17, 2020
The adapter is really easy to assemble and can break down into 3 parts for portability (the center bar is detachable). This makes for a very compact travel system. The stroller was very stable with the infant carrier attached. At first, it was not an easy task to line up the carrier to the adapter and drop it in place or remove the carrier (pushing the two buttons while pulling up) without feeling like I would tip over the stroller.
After attaching and removing the carrier a few times, it became a much easier transition to and from the stroller (similar to getting used to the fold process for the Jet).
Pros
  • breaks down compact, feels like a very stable and secure connection with the stroller and carrier
Cons
  • price seems $10-$20 higher compared to similar adapters where the only difference is the crossbar that provides support (as opposed to another connection point for the carrier)

We love this stroller. So small and compact and sturdy. It's newborn ready and has a high weight limit to carry us well into toddlerhood. Silver Cross is a tried a different true stroller company.
