Thule RideAlong Mini Child Bike Seat - Light Grey

I've been using this seat for about 3 years, on my second kid with it. I am a pretty big guy at 6'4. I do find myself having to direct my knees outward slightly when pedaling, but its not much of an annoyance/discomfort. If you're 6'2 or smaller you likely wont have this issue.

The upside: The quality is great and sits well on the bike. Feels sturdy, handles well and locks into place. It's great that the kids have a front row view instead of looking at my back and butt. The kids have loved it and many people always smile & complement as I ride by. I'm glad I went with this purchase.

The downside: The biggest downside is the way the child shoulder straps slide off of my kid's shoulders and to the sides of their arms. This happens on just about every ride. This seat could/should have an added safety feature where the shoulder straps buckle in across the chest. The pictures on the site don't really show this because there's no child in the seat and the buckle looks raised up. In reality the buckle sits down around/below my kid's belly button and the chest area is opened, allowing the shoulders straps become loose and roll off to the sides of their arms. Thule should consider adding a chest buckle or strap of some kind.

Was easy to install, easy to put my granddaughter in and best of all she loves it...

I've been searching for a bike seat for my daughter for some time now and came across this at a second hand store. Had I not found it I would've purchased it from the website. Amazing quality, safe and easy to assemble.

After comparing all the stem mount baby bicycle carriers, the Thule won out for its quality and features. The mount is fairly low profile when the baby seat is removed and it comes off smoothly.

Small to medium sized riders may have contact between the baby seat and their knees (depending upon their bicycle and stem type). I'm 5'9" riding a medium sized, touring frame bicycle. With my saddle adjusted back a bit from my normal, my knees just miss the seat while pedaling.
