The UPPAbaby RIDGE Jogging Stroller delivers such a comfortable and smooth push that you’ll wonder why you didn’t buy this stroller sooner (unless, of course, this is your first time buying a stroller and your baby isn’t even born yet). This stroller moves effortlessly over rough terrain, has a very comfortable turning radius, and moves “faster” than other strollers. One can also lock the front wheel, which makes it easier to maintain a straight direction while jogging. Also to note, you can be a walker and enjoy the smoothness of this stroller, too.
The RIDGE has a deep seat and is generally considered a bigger stroller, so it might not be ideal for someone with a small car. While it is tremendously easy to fold (many people say the one-hand fold is the main motivation to buy the stroller), it does end up a little big for compact cars. But, on the flip side, this is a big stroller. Ideal for off-road adventures. Ideal for comfortable walks through the park. There is ample storage space, too. If you aren’t looking to jog through the crowded streets of NYC but rather take a run through your local, less-crowded park, this stroller makes doing so as easy as it gets.
And you know what else? Disc brakes! Yes, that’s right. The RIDGE comes with a wonderful braking system that makes it simple--a red pedal for braking and a green pedal for engaging. And this is with all-rubber wheels made by Kenda Tire, so you’re not packing an air pump with you when you leave the house. Additionally, the front wheel locks into a “straight” position with the push of a button.
Is the UPPAbaby RIDGE a Good Stroller?
The RIDGE is a great jogging stroller. In our humble opinion, it’s a great mix of the different BOB and the THULE offerings and comes from a brand that is not only known for its high quality and attention to detail, but it’s high-fashion reputation as well. But does reputation make a great jogging stroller?
While UPPAbaby’s reputation precedes this stroller (which was released in 2021), it’s not the reputation that makes this stroller so desirable. Rather, it’s the deep, comfortable seat with webbing recline. It’s the patented two-stage suspension system that makes for such a smooth ride. It’s the lumbar support (YES--lumbar support!). It’s birth-compatible with the UPPAbaby bassinet and MESA (and other car seats when using adaptors). Add in a water bottle holder and a zippered magnetic storage area cover, and this is just one sweet jogging stroller to own.
But what about your baby, you may be thinking? From what our customers have told us, the kids LOVE it. We are always ready to endorse a jogging stroller when parents talk about how easy it is for their kids to fall asleep while on a run. That’s comfort at an entirely new level.

Why We Stand behind the UPPAbaby RIDGE Stroller
The RIDGE is the Parents “Best For Baby” award winner for 2022. The suspension makes for a very smooth ride for your baby, which is really the defining feature of a jogging stroller. The UPPAbaby engineering is as thoughtful as ever, with never-flat rubber tires and a disc hand-brake system to slow down as needed. The seat is as comfortable as the ride, too.
In a world where time is so limited, taking your baby out for a stroll (or a jog) is wonderful exercise and stimulation for your child. Reports may differ, but pushing a stroller while jogging has been suggested to burn up to 10% more calories. And for single parents with no one to watch baby at home, there’s no need to stop exercising. So we stand behind this incredible creative and well-built jogger that’s going to be around for quite some time to come. UPPAbaby might not have their reputation staked on the jogging stroller market, but mark our words that this stroller will continue to carve them a nice piece of that pie in the years to come.
